Rye

Rye is a small grain crop grown in the Midwest for use in breads and other foods, alcoholic beverages, and for seed. Rye is also used for livestock feed and forage, and is frequently used as a cover crop and green manure for its benefits in crop rotations, particularly for organic crop production.
